St. George Island State Park
St. George Island State Park offers nine miles of undeveloped white sand beach. The park offers ample opportunities for sunbathing, swimming, shelling, canoeing, kayaking, boating, fishing, hiking and nature study. The park offers 60 modern family campsites with water and electric as well as restroom and shower facilities. There is also a primitive camping site and a youth camping site available for group camping. Kayaks are available to rent. There are two natural, not paved or maintained, ramps for boat access to Apalachicola Bay. One ramp is located at the Youth Camp area and the other is 2 ½ miles from the entrance station. Both ramps are restricted to small craft less than 24ft. in length with shallow draft. Knowledge of local conditions is required for safe boating in the area.
